To calculate the Aggregate Density (AD):

\[ AD = \frac{AW}{AV} \]

Where:

\(AD\) is the Aggregate Density (kg/m³)
\(AW\) is the total weight of aggregate (kg)
\(AV\) is the total volume of aggregate (m³)

What is Aggregate Density?

Aggregate Density is the measure of the mass of aggregate per unit volume. It is an important parameter in construction and civil engineering, as it helps determine the strength and stability of materials used in building structures.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Total Weight of Aggregate (\(AW\)) = 1500 kg
Total Volume of Aggregate (\(AV\)) = 0.75 m³

Using the formula:

\[ AD = \frac{1500}{0.75} = 2000 \text{ kg/m³} \]

The aggregate density is 2000 kg/m³.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Total Weight of Aggregate (\(AW\)) = 1800 kg
Total Volume of Aggregate (\(AV\)) = 1.2 m³

Using the formula:

\[ AD = \frac{1800}{1.2} = 1500 \text{ kg/m³} \]

The aggregate density is 1500 kg/m³.
