The formula to calculate the horsepower from BTUs is:

$HP = \frac{BTU}{T} \times 2545$

Where:

$HP$ is the total horsepower.
$BTU$ is the total number of British Thermal Units output by the system in the time period.

Example

Let's say the total BTUs ( $BTU$ ) is 5000 and the time period ( $T$ ) is 2 hours. Using the formula:
