The formula to calculate the total score (TS) is:

\[ TS = (2P \times 2) + (3P \times 3) + FT \]

Where:

What is a Basketball Score?

A basketball score is the total number of points a team accumulates during a game. Points can be scored through two-point field goals, three-point field goals, and free throws. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Example Calculation

Consider an example where:

Number of Two-Pointers Made (2P): 10
Number of Three-Pointers Made (3P): 5
Number of Free Throws Made (FT): 8

Using the formula to calculate the total score:

\[ TS = (10 \times 2) + (5 \times 3) + 8 = 41 \]

This means that the total score for this example is 41 points.
