Ceiling Angle Calculator

Calculate Your Ceiling Angle

Formula

The formula to calculate the Ceiling Angle is:

\[ \text{Ceiling Angle} = \arctan\left(\frac{\text{Rise}}{\text{Run}}\right) \]

Definition

Height A is the height from the floor to the ceiling at one point. Height B is the height from the floor to the ceiling at another point. The Run is the horizontal distance between these two points. The Rise is the difference in height between Height A and Height B.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Using the formula:

\[ \text{Ceiling Angle} = \arctan\left(\frac{3.2 - 2.8}{4}\right) = 5.71 \text{ degrees} \]
