The formula to calculate the Effective Area (EA) is:

\[ EA = \frac{P}{I} \]

Where:

Effective Area (EA): The area over which the power is effectively distributed.
Power (P): The total power being received or transmitted, measured in watts (W).
Incident Wave Intensity (I): The power per unit area carried by a wave, measured in watts per square meter (W/m²).

Let's say the power (P) is 100 watts, and the incident wave intensity (I) is 50 W/m². Using the formula:

\[ EA = \frac{100}{50} = 2 \, \text{m}^2 \]

So, the effective area is 2 m².
