To calculate the F Ratio (\(F\)):

\[ F = \frac{MBG}{MWG} \]

Where:

\(F\) is the F Ratio
\(MBG\) is the mean square between groups
\(MWG\) is the mean square within groups

What is an F Ratio?

An F Ratio is defined as the ratio between the mean square between groups and the mean square within the group. It is used in analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine if there are significant differences between group means.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Mean Square Between Groups (\(MBG\)) = 10
Mean Square Within Groups (\(MWG\)) = 2

Using the formula:

\[ F = \frac{10}{2} = 5 \]

The F Ratio is 5.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Mean Square Between Groups (\(MBG\)) = 15
Mean Square Within Groups (\(MWG\)) = 3

Using the formula:

\[ F = \frac{15}{3} = 5 \]

The F Ratio is 5.
