The formula to calculate the forklift load center capacity (FLC) is:

\[ FLC = \frac{SLC}{ALC} \times SRC \]

\( ALC \) is the Actual Load Center Distance (in)

What is Forklift Load Center Capacity?

A load center capacity describes the equivalent capacity a forklift can hold when the load center distance is different than the standard load center distance that the forklift was rated at.

Example Calculation

Let's consider an example:

Standard Load Center Distance (SLC): 24 in
Actual Load Center Distance (ALC): 30 in
Standard Rated Capacity (SRC): 5000 lbs

Using the formula to calculate Forklift Load Center Capacity:

\[ FLC = \frac{24}{30} \times 5000 \approx 4000 \, \text{lbs} \]

This means that the forklift load center capacity would be approximately 4000 lbs.
