Formula

To calculate the Game Time (\(GT\)):

\[ GT = (P \times T) + B \]

Where:

\(GT\) is the total Game Time (minutes)
\(P\) is the number of periods or halves in the game
\(T\) is the duration of each period or half (minutes)
\(B\) is the total break time between periods or halves (minutes)

What is Game Time?

In sports, game time is often regulated and divided into periods or halves, with breaks in between. In video games, game time can be tracked to limit usage or to determine progress or achievements. Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Number of Periods or Halves (\(P\)) = 4
Duration of Each Period or Half (\(T\)) = 15 minutes
Total Break Time Between Periods or Halves (\(B\)) = 10 minutes

Using the formula:

\[ GT = (4 \times 15) + 10 = 60 + 10 = 70 \]

The Total Game Time is 70 minutes.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Number of Periods or Halves (\(P\)) = 2
Duration of Each Period or Half (\(T\)) = 45 minutes
Total Break Time Between Periods or Halves (\(B\)) = 15 minutes

Using the formula:

\[ GT = (2 \times 45) + 15 = 90 + 15 = 105 \]

The Total Game Time is 105 minutes.
