What is Glass Weight?

Glass weight is a measure of the mass of a panel of glass. This value depends on the physical characteristics of the glass, including the density of the glass. The average density of glass is 0.0903 lbs/in³.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Height (H): 24 inches
Width (W): 36 inches
Thickness (T): 0.25 inches
Density (D): 0.0903 lbs/in³

Step 1: Multiply the height, width, thickness, and density:

\[ 24 \times 36 \times 0.25 \times 0.0903 = 19.51 \]

The Glass Weight (GW) is 19.51 lbs.
