What is the Golden Ratio?

The Golden Ratio, approximately 1.61803398875, is a mathematical proportion often associated with aesthetic beauty. It can be applied to the human face by dividing the width of the face by the height. The closer this ratio is to the Golden Ratio, the more aesthetically pleasing the face is considered.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Width (\(W\)) = 150 mm
Height (\(H\)) = 200 mm

Using the formula:

\[ GR = \frac{\frac{150}{200}}{1.61803398875} = 0.4635 \]

The Golden Ratio is 0.4635.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Width (\(W\)) = 130 mm
Height (\(H\)) = 210 mm

Using the formula:

\[ GR = \frac{\frac{130}{210}}{1.61803398875} = 0.3813 \]
