What is Harvest Yield?

A harvest yield, also known as crop yield, is a measure of the total amount of crop a given area of land yields per harvest. In other words, it indicates how much crop you get per area.

Example Calculation

Let's consider an example:

Total Weight of the Harvest (A): 10,000 lbs
Weight per Bushel (B): 60 lbs/bushel
Total Number of Acres (C): 100 acres

Using the formula to calculate the harvest yield:

\[ \text{HY} = \frac{10,000}{60 \times 100} \approx 1.67 \text{ bushels/acre} \]

This means that the harvest yield for this scenario is approximately 1.67 bushels per acre.
