The formula to calculate the Scaled MPRE Score (SS) is:

\[ SS = CA \times CF \]

Where:

\( SS \) is the scaled score (out of 150)
\( CA \) is the number of correct answers (out of 60)
\( CF \) is the conversion factor (2.5 for this example)

What is the MPRE?

The Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) is a two-hour, 60-question multiple-choice examination designed to measure the knowledge and understanding of established standards related to a lawyer’s professional conduct. It is required for admission to the bars of most US jurisdictions. The MPRE is developed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) and is administered three times per year.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Number of Correct Answers (CA) = 45
Conversion Factor (CF) = 2.5

Using the formula to calculate the Scaled MPRE Score:

\[ SS = 45 \times 2.5 = 112.5 \text{ out of 150} \]
