Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Mass of Compound (\(MC\)) = 5 grams
Mass of Substance (\(MS\)) = 100 grams

Using the formula:

\[ MP = \frac{5}{100} \times 100 = 5\% \]

The Mass Percent is 5%.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Mass of Compound (\(MC\)) = 20 grams
Mass of Substance (\(MS\)) = 200 grams

Using the formula:

\[ MP = \frac{20}{200} \times 100 = 10\% \]

The Mass Percent is 10%.
