What is the Mole Ratio?

The Mole Ratio is a conversion factor that relates the amounts of reactants and products in a chemical reaction. It is derived from the coefficients of the balanced chemical equation.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Reactant 1 Coefficient (\(R1\)) = 3
Reactant 2 Coefficient (\(R2\)) = 2

Using the formula:

\[ MR = \frac{3}{2} = 1.5 \]

The Mole Ratio is 1.5.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Reactant 1 Coefficient (\(R1\)) = 4
Reactant 2 Coefficient (\(R2\)) = 5

Using the formula:

\[ MR = \frac{4}{5} = 0.8 \]

The Mole Ratio is 0.8.
