The formula to calculate the RPM from PPR is:

\[ RPM = \left(\frac{PR1 \times 60}{PPR}\right) \times GR \]

Where:

Pulses Per Revolution (PPR): The number of pulses produced by an encoder for each full revolution of its shaft.
Significance: Used to describe the accuracy of rotary encoders, which convert mechanical motion into electrical signals for precise positioning in applications like machine tools and robotics.

Let's say the pulses received in one second (PR1) is 120, the pulses per revolution (PPR) is 100, and the gear ratio (GR) is 2. Using the formula:

\[ RPM = \left(\frac{120 \times 60}{100}\right) \times 2 = 144 \]

So, the Rotations Per Minute (RPM) is 144.
