The formula to calculate the Power Added Efficiency (PAE) is:

$PAE = \frac{Po - Pin}{Pdc} \cdot 100$

Where:

Power Added Efficiency: The efficiency of a device in converting DC power into useful output power, calculated by subtracting the input power from the output power, dividing by the DC power, and multiplying by 100.

Let's say the power output (Po) is 100 watts, the power input (Pin) is 20 watts, and the DC power (Pdc) is 150 watts. Using the formula:

$PAE = \frac{100 - 20}{150} \cdot 100$

We get:

$PAE = \frac{80}{150} \cdot 100 = 53.33 \%$
