Formula

To calculate the cost of a quilt:

\[ QC = L \times W \times CSI \]

Where:

$QC$ is the total cost of the quilt ($)
$L$ is the length of the quilt (inches)
$W$ is the width of the quilt (inches)
$CSI$ is the cost per square inch of the quilt ($/in²)

Quilt Cost Definition

The cost of a quilt is calculated by multiplying the length and width together and then multiplying that result by the cost per square inch of the quilt.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Length ($L$) = 60 inches
Width ($W$) = 80 inches
Cost per Square Inch ($CSI$) = $0.05

Using the formula:

\[ QC = 60 \times 80 \times 0.05 = 240 \]

The total cost of the quilt is $240.00.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Length ($L$) = 50 inches
Width ($W$) = 70 inches
Cost per Square Inch ($CSI$) = $0.04

Using the formula:

\[ QC = 50 \times 70 \times 0.04 = 140 \]

The total cost of the quilt is $140.00.
