The formula to calculate the Reflectance (R) is:

$R = \left( \frac{RR}{IR} \right)^2$

Where:

Reflectance (R): The ratio of the reflected radiation to the incident radiation, squared.
Reflected Radiation (RR): The amount of radiation that is reflected off a surface.
Incident Radiation (IR): The amount of radiation that initially strikes a surface.

Let's say the reflected radiation (RR) is 50 and the incident radiation (IR) is 100. Using the formula:

We get:

So, the reflectance is 0.25.
