Formula

The formula to calculate the Seating Capacity (SC) is:

\[ SC = \left(\frac{A}{S}\right) \times \frac{E}{100} \]

Where:

SC – The seating capacity of the restaurant.
A – The total area of the restaurant (in square feet).
S – The space required per seat (in square feet).
E – The efficiency factor (percentage of the total area that can be used for seating).

Seating Capacity (SC): The maximum number of customers that a restaurant can accommodate at a given time.
Total Area (A): The total area of the restaurant in square feet.
Space Required per Seat (S): The space required per seat in square feet.
Efficiency Factor (E): The percentage of the total area that can be used for seating.

Let's say the total area (A) is 2000 sq ft, the space required per seat (S) is 15 sq ft, and the efficiency factor (E) is 70%. Using the formula:

\[ SC = \left(\frac{2000}{15}\right) \times \frac{70}{100} = 133.33 \times 0.7 = 93.33 \]

So, the seating capacity is approximately 93 seats.
