To calculate the weight from torque:

\[ W = \frac{T}{D} \]

Where:

\(W\) is the weight
\(T\) is the torque
\(D\) is the distance

What is Torque to Weight?

To convert torque to weight, divide the total torque by the distance from the center of the object that the torque is applied at. This is also known simply as force since weight is a force.

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Torque (\(T\)) = 50 N-m
Distance (\(D\)) = 2 m

Using the formula:

\[ W = \frac{50}{2} = 25 \text{ N} \]

The Weight is 25 N.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Torque (\(T\)) = 100 lb-ft
Distance (\(D\)) = 4 ft

Using the formula:

\[ W = \frac{100}{4} = 25 \text{ lbs} \]

The Weight is 25 lbs.
