The formula to calculate the Weld Time (WT) is:

\[ \text{WT} = 2.361 \times (T1 + T2) \]

Where:

\(\text{WT}\) is the weld time in cycles
\(T1\) is the thickness of the first material
\(T2\) is the thickness of the second material

What is Weld Time?

Weld Time is the duration required to weld two materials together, measured in cycles. The time depends on the combined thickness of the materials being welded.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Thickness of First Material (T1) = 0.5 inches
Thickness of Second Material (T2) = 0.75 inches

Using the formula:

\[ \text{WT} = 2.361 \times (0.5 + 0.75) = 2.361 \times 1.25 = 2.95125 \text{ cycles} \]

The Weld Time is 2.95 cycles.
