The formula to convert dBm to watts (W) is:
\[ W = 10^{\left(\frac{dBm - 30}{10}\right)} \]
Where:
Converting dB to watts is actually the process of converting decibel-milliwatts to watts since decibel in itself is just a unitless factor.
Example 1:
Using the formula:
\[ W = 10^{\left(\frac{30 - 30}{10}\right)} = 10^0 = 1 \text{ W} \]
Example 2:
Using the formula:
\[ W = 10^{\left(\frac{40 - 30}{10}\right)} = 10^1 = 10 \text{ W} \]
