The formula to calculate the Grade Average is:

Where:

What is Grade Average?

Grade average is calculated by summing all the grades and then dividing by the number of grades. It is a measure of the overall performance of a student across multiple subjects or assessments.

Example Calculation

Consider an example where the grades are:

Grades: 85, 90, 78, 92, 88

Using the formula to calculate the Grade Average:

\[ \text{Average Grade} = \frac{85 + 90 + 78 + 92 + 88}{5} = 86.6 \]

This means that the average grade for this example is 86.6.
