The formula to calculate the hatch day (H) is:

\[ H = L + I \]

Where:

Hatch Day: The day on which an egg is expected to hatch after being laid. It is determined by the incubation period, which is the time required for the embryo to develop inside the egg. Factors such as temperature and humidity can also affect the hatch day.

Let's say the lay date (L) is 2024-08-01 and the incubation period (I) is 21 days. Using the formula:

We get:

So, the hatch day is August 22, 2024.
