The formula to calculate the Cost Per Sale (CPS) is:

\[ \text{CPS} = \frac{\text{TC}}{\text{TS}} \]

Where:

Cost Per Sale (CPS): The amount of money it takes to make one sale of an item or service.
Total Cost (TC): The total cost spent to make all of the sales ($).
Total Sales (TS): The total number of sales made.

Let's say the total cost (TC) is $500 and the total number of sales (TS) is 50. Using the formula:

\[ \text{CPS} = \frac{500}{50} = 10 \, \text{\$/sale} \]

So, the cost per sale is $10 per sale.
