What is METs Stress Test?

The METs Stress Test (MST) is a measure of the oxygen uptake per minute per kilogram of body weight. It is calculated by dividing the oxygen uptake per minute by the body weight times 3.5.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Oxygen Uptake per Minute (OPM) = 2500 O2/min
Body Weight (BW) = 70 kg

Using the formula:

\[ MST = \frac{2500}{3.5 \times 70} = 10.20 \]

The METs Stress Test is 10.20 O2/min/kg.
