The formula to calculate the Manure Application Rate (MAR) is:

\[ MAR = \frac{M}{A} \]

Where:

Manure Application Rate (MAR): The amount of manure applied per acre of land.
Amount of Manure Used (M): The total weight of manure applied.
Number of Acres (A): The total area of land in acres.

Let's say the amount of manure used (M) is 5000 lbs and the number of acres (A) is 10. Using the formula:

\[ MAR = \frac{5000}{10} \]

We get:

\[ MAR = 500 \text{ lbs/acre} \]

So, the manure application rate is 500 lbs per acre.
