To calculate the Motor Load (L):

\[ L = \left( \frac{P_m}{P_i} \right) \times 100 \]

Where:

\(L\) is the Motor Load (%)
\(P_m\) is the Measured Three-Phase Power (kW)
\(P_i\) is the Input Power at Full-Rated Load (kW)

What is Motor Load?

A motor load is defined as the ratio of the measured power to the full-rated power that a motor is running at. This ratio can be expressed in percentage by multiplying it by 100 as seen in the formula above.

Example Calculation

Let's assume the following values:

Measured Three-Phase Power (\(P_m\)) = 50 kW
Input Power at Full-Rated Load (\(P_i\)) = 60 kW

Using the formula:

\[ L = \left( \frac{50}{60} \right) \times 100 = 83.33\% \]

The Motor Load is 83.33%.
