What is a Pixel Aspect Ratio?

Example Calculation 1

Let's assume the following values:

Display Aspect Ratio (\(DAR\)) = 16
Storage Aspect Ratio (\(SAR\)) = 9

Using the formula:

\[ PAR = \frac{16}{9} = 1.78 \]

The Pixel Aspect Ratio is 1.78.

Example Calculation 2

Let's assume the following values:

Storage Aspect Ratio (\(SAR\)) = 3

Using the formula:
