Formula

The formula to calculate the Rate Pressure Product (RPP) is:

\[ RPP = HR \times SBP \]

Where:

Rate Pressure Product (RPP): A measure of the workload on the heart, calculated by multiplying the heart rate by the systolic blood pressure.
Heart Rate (HR): The number of heartbeats per minute, measured in beats per minute (BPM).
Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP): The pressure in the arteries when the heart beats, measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).

Let's say the heart rate is 70 BPM and the systolic blood pressure is 120 mmHg. Using the formula:

\[ RPP = 70 \times 120 \]

We get:

\[ RPP = 8400 \]

So, the Rate Pressure Product (\( RPP \)) is 8400 BPM-mmHg.
