\[ VR = \frac{V1 - V2}{V1} \]

Where:

\( VR \) is the Voltage Regulation.
\( V1 \) is the No-Load Voltage.
\( V2 \) is the Full-Load Voltage.

What is Voltage Regulation?

Voltage regulation measures a system’s ability to provide constant voltage over a wide range of loads. In actual physical systems, this is performed by a voltage regulator.

Example Calculation

Consider an example where:

No-Load Voltage (V1): 120V
Full-Load Voltage (V2): 115V

Using the formula to calculate the Voltage Regulation:

\[ VR = \frac{120 - 115}{120} = 0.0417 \text{ or } 4.17\% \]

This means that the voltage regulation for this example is 4.17%.
