Wallpaper Calculation Formula

Gross surface of the room:

$$A = 2 \times (w + l) \times h$$

Net surface after subtracting doors and windows:

$$A_{\text{net}} = A - \left(n_{\text{doors}} \times A_{\text{door}}\right) - \left(n_{\text{windows}} \times A_{\text{window}}\right)$$

Number of wallpaper rolls needed:

$$\text{Number of rolls} = \left\lceil \frac{A_{\text{net}}}{A_{\text{roll}}} \right\rceil$$

Where:

• $w$ = Width of the room (m)
• $l$ = Length of the room (m)
• $h$ = Height of the room (m)
• $n_{\text{doors}}$ = Number of doors
• $A_{\text{door}}$ = Area of a single door (m²)
• $n_{\text{windows}}$ = Number of windows
• $A_{\text{window}}$ = Area of a single window (m²)
• $A_{\text{roll}}$ = Area of a single wallpaper roll (m²)
